The 6600 series consists of a Sensor Valve assembly, a Proportional Valve assembly and a Reservoir. These three separate lightweight aluminum components can be located at convenient locations in the system and are interchangeable with existing downstream units. 

The 6200 series is intended for use in bulk commodity hopper type cars, providing wheel slide protection to cars with a high gross to tare weight ratio.  This high mileage and low maintenance unit is available in various percentages to meet different car braking specifications.  

The 6600 Unitized series is a one-piece model made of lightweight aluminum and combines the Volume Reservoir, the Proportional Valve and the Sensor Valve into a single compact package.  It is also interchangeable with existing downstream units. 

With a long track record of proven performance, Ellcon’s Truck Mounted Brake Model 8500, features rugged corrosion resistant construction and is designed for high mileage & low maintenance. This unit features a nickel plated piston and cylinder, a double acting compression slack adjuster to control piston travel, brake levers, and weighs approximately 220 lbs per truck set.

Ellcon-National manufactures a number of vertical wheel type hand brake models to suit customer needs.

• Conventional models 31000, 31000-2 & 31000-6, designed for standard freight cars.
• Intermediate models 33000 & 33000-2, designed for cars requiring a higher force than provided by conventional brakes.
• High capacity models 35000 & 3500-2, designed for cars requiring a higher force than provided by intermediate brakes.

Ellcon-National manufactures lever type hand brake models to suit any application.

• Model 7600 is designed primarily for use on auto rack or flat cars.
• Model 7900 is designed for below deck flat car application. 

Ellcon is the only U. S. manufacturer of mechanical wheel type hand brakes for locomotives.  The 210 Series is primarily designed for use on GE applications, while the 850 Series is used on EMD applications.

Ellcon-National offers Tension type AAR approved slack adjusters for conventional braking systems.  The tension type slack adjusters are available in both Model 2000 Series and 9100 Series.  Each features a double-acting, fully automatic mechanical adjustment for safe, positive control of air brake piston travel by maintaining proper shoe clearance at all times.

Ellcon-National’s AAR approved air brake cylinders are available in both side and rear inlet styles, each with multiple mounting configurations.  Completely corrosion resistant and offering a 10" diameter X 12” stroke, these ABUs feature a lightweight construction and are interchangeable with existing cylinders. 

Ellcon’s discharge outlets feature a rugged, low maintenance, watertight construction with smooth interiors and strong flat flanges.  The double shaft allows sampling from only one end of the gate.  The valves can be easily opened or closed under loaded conditions, with infinite flow rate control, and with the widest available valve opening for easy sampling and unloading.

Our Model 6390 is a 1" flange to thread straight end cock and comes in both RH and LH models.  The ductile iron valve with Teflon seals provides for easy operation. 

Model 32390 Stainless Steel Full Port Ball Valve with threaded NPT to bolted flange design.  Valves are available in 1", 2" and 3" models.  Each valve comes with a stainless steel handle with plastic sleeve.  Model 32920 is available in 3" only and comes with a cast handle.  Repair kits are available for all models.
