The TMB Model 8500, with hundred of thousands of units in service worldwide, is a proven high mileage, low maintenance system and one of the most popular truck mounted brakes in North America.

The TMB 8500, using different brake lever ratios and working with three available cylinder sizes, meets all AAR braking requirements.

This unit features a nickel plated piston and cylinder, a double acting compression slack adjuster to control piston travel, brake levers, weighs approximately 220 lbs per truck set.

The TMB 8500 fits on standard AAR bolsters, uses standard brake beams and brake cylinder packing cup. The double acting slack adjuster maintains constant piston travel, minimizing loss in brake shoe force due to shoe and wheel wear.
