• The 6200 series is intended for use in bulk commodity hopper type cars, providing wheel slide protection to cars with a high gross to tare weight ratio.  This unit directly senses a loaded or empty car condition and proportions brake-cylinder pressure accordingly. Installation requires two pipe or hose connections and a simple air test.  Being a single unit, it is easy to mount & maintain and is simple and dependable. It is a single piece lightweight aluminum construction consisting of a diaphragm sensor, an air tank and a valve body.  This high mileage and low maintenance unit is available in various AAR models to meet different car braking specifications.  ELD units are available in 40 percent upstream and 50 or 60 percent downstream models.  No adjustments are required to compensate for truck wear and spring sag.
